Sculptra is an injectable collagen stimulator that is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It is used to restore facial volume. It can also be used to lift and volumize the buttocks and fill in cellulite dimples. Results of Sculptra are not seen immediately. Collagen is stimulated over the course of 4-6 weeks after treatment. A series of 3 or more treatments are recommended 6 weeks apart.

Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable that stimulates collagen production to help reestablish volume lost through the aging process.

 

Because Sculptra is stimulating your skin to produce collagen, results are not immediate. Noticeable results are usually visible 3-4 months after the final treatment (generally a series of 2-3 treatments is recommended).

After you complete the recommended treatment series (generally 2-3 treatments), results can last up to 2-3 years.

 

Treatment site bruising and swelling may occur. Nodule formation is possible but preventable by following post op massage instructions.

 

Sculptra cannot be injected while pregnant or breast feeding.
